TV REWIND: The Top Ten of 2009-2010: A closer Look

#1: TRUE BLOOD (HBO): Last year's top NEW SHOW is this year's TOP SHOW, knocking the departing LOST down a notch. And why be so cruel to LOST in it's final year? Well, those sexy naked vampires, of course! But no, it goes deeper than that. Alan Ball's HBO show is totally addictive (like V juice itself, I suppose). It can be campy at times, but isnt that part of the fun and charm? To totally take an escape from the real world and delve into fun, adult entertainment? Season 3 starts up June 13, and its looking SO HOT!

#2: LOST (ABC): This is the final week EVER for this groundbreaking, epic TV show. I can't say I have been totally happy with it in its final year, but I am hoping that these last two episodes will fill in most of my questions. Because if it doesnt, and I am still truly LOST in the final seconds of the finale, I will be PISSED OFF. Devoting six years to the show HAS to have a satisfying pay-off, right? I mean, no fade to blacks, please. Something tells me I won't be disappointed, though.

#3: BIG BANG THEORY (CBS): I wasnt a fan of the Penny/Leonard hook-up, but TBBT is still a consistently funny ensemble, and Jim Parsons as Sheldon has never been better. One of the highlights of my week!

#4: GLEE (FOX): SEE TOP FIVE NEW SHOWS blog entry

#5: THE MIDDLE (ABC): SEE TOP FIVE NEW SHOWS blog entry

#6: HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (CBS): A few years ago, when this show had no one watching it and I stumbled upon it, HIMYM was the show I raved about. Then it got popular, and somehow it's original charm faded. But just a little. MOTHER is still widely entertaining, but I am frustrated: tell us the mother. The show works as an ensemble and is sooo much bigger than the original hook of the mother reveal. It will still work, trust me. So who is she?

#7: DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (ABC): This was probably the worse season yet for HOUSEWIVES, yet I still get a thrill every Sunday night when I hear Mary Alice Williams start her narrative. Actually, these last few eps have been pretty good, and the show seems to be buiding to a nice conclusion tonight. So let's hope Marc Cherry gets his creative act together over the summer and delivers an awesome 7th season.

#8: SUPERNATURAL (CW): It's the Apocalypse! ANd its soooo boring! SUPER works best when its just a simple, scary, freak of the week episode. But Castiel and the Apocalypse? YAWN! The Winchester boys are so much better than the muddle the writers gave us. Still, when SUPERNATURAL works, it is SUPER indeed!

#10: COMMUNITY (NBC): See TOP FIVE NEW SHOWS blog entry
